Progress

Since May 1st, the day we were handed the keys to our new home in Oreland, PA, Kyle and I have been busy painting, cleaning, organizing, and doing other renovations and improvements to our slightly dated Colonial. When we first opened the doors to our house, we were greeted by dark green carpets, dingy white walls in some rooms and wallpaper-covered walls in others, and a gorgeous (um, not) kitchen featuring chipped off-white counters and a faux brick back splash. Needless to say, Kyle and I knew we had a lot of work ahead of us when we purchased this home - but we are determined to bring it into this century and make it our own.

Although we still have a lot more to check off on our list, we have made some progress over the past almost-two months. I am happy to say the green carpets are gone and our hardwood floors have been refinished. Our living room and kitchen walls boast fresh coats of paint and our three upstairs bedrooms are starting to come together. While we still have curtains and pictures to hang and final touches to add, our living room has made the biggest change so far. The quality of the "Before" picture is pretty terrible since we got it from the Realtors website, and the "After" picture is not the complete finished product, but you get the idea!
